Star Potomac Basketball Player Dies After Being Hit By Train At Wingate University

A Potomac High School graduate has died after being hit by a train near the entrance of Wingate University, according to multiple reports.

Kyle Honore was tragically killed around 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16. He was a freshman and committed basketball player for the North Carolina University, announced the school.

Honore was a talented basketball player for Potomac High School. His father, Keith Honore was the coach for the school for 17 seasons before retiring after his son's senior season.

Wingate University is offering counseling services for students after the tragedy and stated that details for a campus vigil and funeral arrangements will be announced once they are available.
